Karen James writes from the middle, not the mountaintop. These pages whisper to the weary soul who keeps showing up, praying hard, and wondering why Heaven feels silent. Through stories of obedience without applause, delays that ache, and prayers that seem unanswered, Karen invites you to rediscover a God who meets you in the cracks, not in spite of them, but through them.
Raw, poetic, and deeply human, this book is a companion for the believer who’s tired, tender, and still choosing to trust. Because even when your hallelujah is trembling, it’s still holy. And even when your hands are scarred, they can still rise.

Leanda Abraham-Henry –
From the cover, I felt drawn to dig in. The contents are like an attractive menu, inviting me to dine at a spectacular restaurant. Come and eat, and be filled!
I ate, bite-size portions, I was full, but then still I had an appetite for more.
With every word you poured out, I felt like you had been where I am now, and you are teaching me how to make the best and the most out of it. I cried many times, but I also smiled many times. I see how to come out as pure gold where my brokenness can lead to completeness in God.
This book is to help you come out of your feelings and get into believing in the real God. The theme I see repeating is, “It’s not about Y.O.U (your own understanding) Proverbs 3:5-6.
From your writing, I see how the painful experience led you to be prayerful and worship-full, even with no words, so you can be purposeful.
There truly is purpose in pain when we learn to trust and obey the One who knows our end from our beginning.

Amen and Amen.
Reading this book, is encouraging to know that someone is going through the very same thing that I am experiencing recently.
This testimony by Sis Karen encourages me to hold and fight the good fight of faith. Sometimes when I cannot even pray , I can’t find the words to tell God, a cracked hallelujah comes out my breath and with the support of a Godly husband and The Almighty God to hold me up I can take a step forward.
Thank you Sis Karen for sharing.
