“If I have seen further, it is by standing on the shoulders of giants.”
—Isaac Newton

For years, I have sat at the intersection of strategy and soul, helping professionals lead, grow, and navigate the unseen battles behind boardroom doors. I have mentored in silence, advised in columns, and whispered truth in crowded HR offices. And for over eight years, I have penned bite-size truths, those aha moments born in trenches, not towers.
Now, they have found their way into books.
A Quiet Yes Turned into a Series
I never set out to build a book series. I said yes to writing one short piece, hoping it would help one person. But your responses, your emails, your tears, your courage, kept the fire going. Over time, those weekly insights became a lifeline for leaders, managers, and everyday professionals worldwide.
That yes became nine books, a full series.
Each one is short. Real. Grounded.
Each one is a mirror, a mentor, and a map.
Why I Wrote the BiteSize Advice Series
Because professionals are drowning in noise but starving for wisdom.
Because we do not need fluff, we need truth. Practical, lived-in, grace-drenched truth.
Because too many leaders are leading while bleeding, and no one is asking, “How are you really?”
So I wrote what I wished someone had whispered to me years ago.
Not as an expert shouting from a podium, but as a fellow traveller, weathered but wiser.
Who It Is For
This series is for the tired leader.
The manager who is muddling through.
The HR pro trying to hold everyone and everything together.
The ambitious soul who wants to lead with excellence, but not lose themselves in the process.
If you have ever whispered, “There has to be a better way…” this series is for you.
More Than a Launch, A Legacy
What launched this month was not just a collection of books. It was the opening of a resource hub, KarenHeartTalk.com, offering three powerful collections:
- The BiteSize Advice Series (9 books): Practical, wisdom-packed insights drawn from years of experience.
- The AI Series (5 books): A bridge for non-tech professionals to confidently engage with AI and emerging tech.
- The Karen Heart Talk Series (2 books): A tender glimpse into the soul behind the strategy.
Together, these collections reflect the full arc of what I believe leadership should be: grounded, growing, and guided by integrity.
What I Hope You Will Remember
I do not write to be famous. I write to be faithful.
Faithful to my calling.
Faithful to the people I am called to serve.
Faithful to the belief that leadership does not have to be lonely or performative.
I hope this work helps you lead with wisdom and walk with wholeness.
That it stirs courage where fear once lived.
That it reminds you that your leadership, done with heart and humility, matters deeply.
Let us build legacies, not just resumes.
With purpose and grace,
Karen James
